Al Qaeda moving out of Pakistan?

The Washington Post is reporting that a large quantity of Al Qaeda gold has moved out of Pakistan by boat, through the United Arab Emirates and Iran to somewhere in the Sudan, perhaps indicating that Al Qaeda still has large financial reserves. The sources for the story said that Sudan might have been chosen by Al Qaeda because Osama bin Laden and other members of the network are familiar with the country and retain business contacts there. U.S. intelligence officials refused to comment on the story, saying only that "[w]e know they are looking at new sources of revenue and are finding new ways to raise and move funds to where they are accessible." I wonder if this means that Al Qaeda is moving out of Pakistan and will be setting up their home base somewhere else?
