I took some time off tonight and went to see the Tar Heels take on Virginia. This was the first time I have gotten to see Raymond Felton and Rashad McCants in person, and all I can say is WOW. The Heels went up almost 20 in the first half and Virginia came back to tie it in the second half, but the Heels eventually put them away with some excellent play from their freshmen and sopohmores. McCants was almost back to his old self tonight ("old self" as referring to December). He did not have his usual swagger, but he played within the offense and ended up scoring 21 points and had an all around good game. Felton, on the other hand, was AWESOME. He looked like he was toying with Virginia's backcourt tonight. Incredible. During the second half he juked a Virginia player so bad in the backcourt that the Virginia player just turned around and hacked the crap out of him in frustration (a foul that should have been called an intentional foul, but if I start on how awful the refs are I will never stop). At another point he split a double team by a dribbling move that looked like it was out of one of the AND1 Mixtapes and then dished it for an easy dunk. Unbelievable. It is so nice to be able to watch good basketball again...
