Wow. The Wahoos won a game! And it was in Raleigh! Part of me feels bad for Sendek. But, now that the Pack has fallen to 3-6 in the ACC, they're in freefall. They've lost 3 ACC games by a combined 4 points ( by 1 at Miami, by 1 at VT, and by 2 in Raleigh tonight). If Mr. Hodge could hit a free throw, they'd be 6-3 and in 4th in the league preparing for the NCAAs. Instead, they're in big trouble. The next two games are road games in Winston-Salem and Atlanta before hosting the Terps and Heels. That, my friends, is brutal. Winning 2 of those 4 would be impressive, but if tonight is any indication of the way they can play then I'm not holding my breath. Drop 3 of those next 4 and State is DONE. And, of by the way, they close the year with the Deacons in Raleigh (another likely loss). No way this Wolfpack team makes the dance if they go below .500 in the league (unless they somehow run the table in DC), and 3 more losses puts them below .500. Losing the 3 games they really should lose (UNC and then WFU twice) ends their dream.
As an aside, let's hope Coach K's fainting spell was nothing serious. I may not like him, but I don't wish ill on him.
