Bitter Cyclones

Curtis Stinson, an Iowa State guard, demonstrated yesterday that he can run his mouth without thinking:
“They’re just deep – that’s what makes them really good. We’ve seen better teams though."
Who would that be Mr. Stinson? Iowa State played two other teams that made it to the Sweet 16: Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. Iowa State split with Texas Tech (beating them by 13 at home and losing by 8 in the Big 12 tournament) and lost to Oklahoma State by 10 at Oklahoma State. Carolina beat you by 27 in the most important game of the year, the win or go home game. "We've seen better teams" my $!#. The ACC is the better conference by far. Clemson gave UNC a better game than Iowa State did.

You got owned. Deal with it.

Of course, this is consistent with Iowa State's play at the end of the game. It seemed like once the game was out of reach, they decided they'd try to take out some Carolina players with well-placed elbows. It was so bad even Billy Packer noted it. If one of our players ran his mouth like this, he'd be running sprints for a week while the media crucified him (see McCants, R.). I guess players for second-tier teams are not held accountable like Carolina players.
